Down/Feather Fills

• Feather/down is washed 8 times and steamed. It is so clean that it can be called hypoallergenic
• All feather/down is a byproduct of the food industry and is RSD-certified.
• The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) is a certification that ensures down and feathers come from animals that have been treated with respect to their five freedoms.
• RDS certification verifies that down and feathers come from farms that prioritize animal welfare throughout the supply chain, from breeding to manufacturing.

Key aspects of RDS certification:

Animal Welfare

RDS ensures that down and feathers come from animals raised with respect to their five freedoms, including freedom from unnecessary pain, injury, and disease; freedom to express normal behavior; and freedom from fear and distress.

Traceability

RDS uses a chain of custody verification system, ensuring that down and feathers from certified farms can be traced through the supply chain

Supply Chain Audits

Farms, slaughterhouses, and other entities in the supply chain are audited by third-party certification bodies to ensure compliance with RDS standards

Labeling:

Products containing 100% certified RDS down and feathers are labeled with the RDS logo, allowing consumers to easily identify products that meet the standard
